Origin of CounselBeacon

CounselBeacon grew out of John's work rebuilding The Branding Iron from a small brochure site into a detailed decision resource. After the firm began receiving identifiable ChatGPT referrals and paid engagements, John audited the website, traffic, intake, and payment records to understand what the evidence actually supported.

John's direct role

John remains responsible for qualification, final strategy, client meetings, review of all findings, and every final deliverable. Technical implementation may be coordinated with the client's existing developer or marketing agency.

Responsible use of technology

Technology assists with crawling, prompt testing, public-source research, data organization, and report preparation. It does not independently approve legal-content accuracy, make professional-responsibility conclusions, or issue final recommendations.

Operating principles

  • Evidence before conclusions
  • Observation separated from inference
  • Fixed scopes and public pricing
  • No ranking or revenue guarantees
  • No public client use without permission
CounselBeacon LLC operates CounselBeacon from Franklin, Tennessee, as a consulting business separate from The Branding Iron. Services are delivered remotely throughout the United States. The two businesses share a founder, and The Branding Iron is used as CounselBeacon's founding internal case study. A CounselBeacon engagement does not create an attorney-client relationship.
